The ORNL Glenn T. Seaborg Initiative (GTSI) serves as a center for actinide science facilitating global leadership through the performance of cutting-edge research, national and international collaboration, and the training of the next generation of scientists and engineers.
The goal of this workshop is to announce the establishment of the GTSI at ORNL and start harboring collaboration in actinide science across all five of the Seaborg Institutes/centers and the nation. To accomplish this, we will host all five institutes/centers at ORNL, along with notable and early career actinide scientists from these institutions, for a collaborative workshop. The first day will involve a number of seminars and presentations. The second day will include tours of our unique facilities here at ORNL.
